Mirrors
2022-2025
In Mirrors, Vered Rosen continues her long-term exploration of the shifting boundaries between fantasy and reality.
Photographic fragments have found a new surface, the mirror itself - where image and reflection merge, inviting the viewer into a space where memory, perception, and the self dissolve into one another. Composed on circular and rectangular mirrors, the images unfold over their own reflections, uniting the gaze and the world it beholds. Drawn from photographs taken across continents, from the Americas to Asia and Europe - each work becomes both window and echo, where skies and waters remain open and bare, allowing the viewer’s reflection to complete the scene. Between memory and imagination, the real and the reflected, the human and the fantasy become one continuous stream of consciousness.
